Pipe Bags
Choosing the right pipe bag is one of the most important decisions a piper will make. Playing the bagpipes with a bag which is not the right size will make the bagpipes much more difficult to play and will cause excess strain on the left arm. Together with choosing the right length of blowpipe, choosing the right size of pipe bag ensures a much more comfortable playing position.
Hardie's recommendations:
5'7" or smaller should consider a small pipe bag with an 8in blowpipe
5'8" to 5'11" should consider a medium or standard size pipe bag with an 9in or 10in blowpipe
6'0" and taller should consider a large pipe bag with an 11in or 12in blowpipe
